Notices & appeals

Got a parking notice? Here is what to do

If you have received a parking fee you believe is wrong, you can review it and appeal online. Here is the process.

In short

Find your reference number, open the case portal, and either pay or appeal with a short explanation and any evidence. Your appeal goes to the operator responsible for the site, and you receive a written decision.

Step by step

  1. 1

    Read the notice

It shows the site, the date and time, and the reason for the fee. Keep the reference number to hand, you will need it.

  2. 2

    Check the details

Compare it with your own records: did you pay, hold a valid permit, or park outside the marked bays? A photo of the situation helps your case.

  3. 3

Pay or appeal in the case portal

Open the OPARKO case portal, enter your reference number, and either settle the fee or submit an appeal with a short explanation and any evidence.

  4. 4

    We review and reply

Your appeal goes to the operator responsible for the site, and you receive a written decision. If it is decided in your favour, anything you paid is refunded.

What helps your appeal

Your receipt or permit

Proof that you paid or held a valid permit is the strongest evidence.

A photo of the situation

A picture of your car, the bay and the nearby signs helps show what happened.

The reference number

It links your appeal to the right case, so keep it from the notice.

Deadlines and refunds

Mind the deadline

The deadline is printed on your notice. Appealing does not pause the payment deadline.

If in doubt, pay then appeal

If your appeal succeeds, anything you paid is refunded, so paying first is the safe option.

Paid but still fined?

The usual cause is a mistyped registration. Appeal with your receipt attached and we will correct it.

Common questions about notices

How long do I have to pay or appeal?

The deadline is printed on your notice. Appealing does not pause the payment deadline, so if you are unsure it is safest to pay and request a refund should your appeal succeed.

I paid but still got a parking fee, why?

The most common cause is a mistyped registration number. Check the plate on your receipt against the one on the notice. If they differ, appeal with your receipt attached and we will correct it.

What if I get a parking notice I think is wrong?

Open the case portal, enter your reference number and submit an appeal with a short explanation and any evidence. It goes to the operator responsible for the site.
